This policy explains what information Filter Coffee Finance collects when you read, subscribe to or interact with filtercoffeefinance.com, and how we use it.
1. What we collect
- Email address, and your name if you give it, when you subscribe or sign up to read the rest of an article or report. Subscribing and signing up are the same step: a 6-digit code proves the address, then you are on the newsletter list and signed in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Name and email address, when you comment. Your name appears with your comment. Your email address is never published.
- Likes and shares, recorded against the piece, with no sign-in needed.
- Usage data, such as pages visited, scrolling and clicks, so we can see what readers find useful. Anything typed into forms is hidden from this.
We never ask for payment, banking or investment account details.
2. How we use it
To send you the newsletters you signed up for, show your comments, count likes and shares, keep spam off the site, and improve what we publish. Where we keep an IP address to stop abuse, it is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
3. Cookies and browser storage
We use a few cookies and your browser's local storage to run the site and measure how it is used, for example so a like counts only once. None of it identifies you by name, and we do not use advertising cookies.
4. Unsubscribing and deletion
Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click takes you off the list. Signing in later to read a piece does not put you back on it. You can delete your account yourself from your account page, which removes your address, your name and your comments. You can also ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing info@filtercoffeefinance.com.
